7 months old: Zoe's First Halloween

Zoe is just growing like a weed. I know my posts have been about nothing but her, but she kind of is my life now, and I love it. Don't get me wrong, I have moments and days that I want to just cry my eyes out (and sometimes I do) but I wouldn't trade the experiences I have as a mother for anything. And I wouldn't want to share the parenting responsibility with anyone other than Ryan. He's amazing and has so much on his plate, but ALWAYS finds time to spend with Zoe and me. I think we would both describe this stage in our lives as STRESSFUL.

Anyway, Zoe's first Halloween was fun. She was a lady bug, and seriously, was the cutest little bug I've ever seen.











She just turned 7 months old recently.
She is so curious. If she hears a sound she has to figure out where it came from.
She really studies faces. It's like she's really trying to figure out, "Okay, have I seen you before?"
Pulled up for the first time completely on her own on Sunday October 31, 2010.
Not crawling yet. And I'm definitely okay with that. :) She can get on all fours but her arms give out pretty quickly.
She is eating so well now. Loves fruits AND vegetables. I think her favorite is the Gerber strawberry, banana, apple blend. She eats about 1 container of fruit and 1 container of veggies a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Still nursing as well.
Loves to go on walks.

Zoe: 6 months

16 pounds 3 ounces
26 inches long
Arms are getting stronger. She pushes up every now and then.
Had her first plane ride! All of the flight attendants fell in love with her. Went to San Francisco to visit Mandy and Matthew.
Rode in a shopping cart for the first time.
Sitting up without toppling over.
Eating solid foods now, although sometimes it is a fight. She likes (kind of)... pears, applesauce, peas.
She shakes her head NO. Of course I don't think she knows what she's doing.
Still loves to squeal.
Sleeps best on her tummy.
Got her 6 month shots and a flu vaccine. Will go back at the beginning of November to get the second shot of the flu vaccine.
Wears 6-9 months size clothes.
We are teaching her how to give kisses.
Pinches REALLY hard.
Getting up 2-3 times a night STILL!!!!!!!

Danni and Ryan

My BFF from my growing up days is getting married. I think it's funny that her fiance's name is Ryan. Funny how that worked out.

I took their engagement pictures and I'm kind of in love with them. Congratulations, you lovey doveys. Can't wait for the big day...

Zoe 5 months

Good gracious, I love this girl.

Zoe rolled over for the first time on August 24, 2010. (tummy to back)
She is sitting up now.
She is getting really good at grabbing.
She LOVES animals, especially our dogs and cat. She lights up when she sees them.
She is always reaching for my phone and/or the remote. Those are off limits sister!
EVERYTHING goes in her mouth. EVERY. THING.
When she nurses she plays with her hair. Still nursing like a champ.
LOVES faces. Especially Daddy's. She pats his cheeks and pulls on his nose and lips.
She is getting a little separation anxiety with me. I love it and hate it at the same time.

Zoe 4 months!

Little Miss Zoe, I love you!

A few things about Zoe at 4 months...
She loves texture. She likes to touch daddy's hair.
Any loud noises are not good. It scares her and it takes us a good 10 minutes to calm her down.
She is teething like crazy! Drool and chewing are a constant.
She is really trying hard to roll over.
She is liking tummy time much better.
She has found her voice. She squeals/screams SOOO loud! Like ear piercing loud. It was cute at first.....
She reaches and grabs for things.
She likes her Baby Einstein DVD. She smiles and laughs in the same parts every time. So cute.
She has been to five movies in the theater. We are brave! :)

We'll get her stats (and she'll get more vaccines...not fun) next week at her doctor appointment.

Happenings as of late...

Last month we moved, and we love our place! It's out of town, in a quiet neighborhood, and brand new so I don't have to deal with a previous tenants grime and grossness.

Our new place has a community pool, complete with covered kiddie pool. We have taken Zoe a couple time and she loves it.








Zoe doesn't really like her tummy time. She gets pretty frustrated. I tell her it's for her own good, so that she can crawl some day. She usually ignores me and just wants to be done.


The dogs are really sweet with her. I snapped this picture one morning while Zoe and Roxie were napping together.


And it's true. Zoe loves hugs.

Zoe 11 weeks

Life is good. We are blessed and so grateful.

Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was great. I am so grateful to be Zoe's Mom, she is such a sweet blessing to my life. Ryan made the day very special since Zoe isn't quite old enough to do anything just yet. :) She did give me the gift of sleeping for 5 hours straight the night before, so that was AWESOME. Thanks Zoe. :) She has yet to do that again though....
