Here is my second rag quilt creation. Love it!!! What do you think? :)After many requests, I am excited to announce that am going to start making these quilts for anyone that wants one! They are great for gifts or for your own little one! I am working on other products as well so keep checking back!

You may choose your own fabric or choose your fabric from Here. Let me know which patterns you choose, and I will purchase the fabric and make your quilt. Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive your finished blanket.

Bovine Shopping...

This weekend Ryan's parents came to visit us and we had a great time. We spent a pretty good part of Saturday at Kallion Farms looking for potential show heifers to add to our little herd of bovine. It was fun, and the beautiful weather was bonus. Here are a few pictures that I took that afternoon. Brahmans really are beautiful animals...and very comical to watch.
After being in the sun for 4 hours or so, we worked up an appetite, so we went to Koppe Bridge, voted #1 for the best hamburger in the Brazos Valley. Yumm. Bill and Cherie, thanks so much for visiting us, we always enjoy time spent with you!

Weekend Project

Over the weekend I finished a baby quilt that I have been making. My grandma Joyce taught me how to make what is called a rag quilt. It is a pattern that is super adorable for baby quilts. I have a hard time focusing on one project at a time. If the project takes me too long, I get bored with it and need different project...and I kind of toggle back and forth between projects. This one was perfect because it only took me about a week to finish (which is a perfect length of time, I don't get bored) and I got to pull out my sewing machine that I haven't used in what seems like forever! I think the next quilt will be pink and yellow fabrics. Here are some pictures of the quilt. Tell me what you think!

Guest Speakers

In my Small Business Management class, I decided to take advantage of some extra credit our teacher had offered us: Bring a guest speaker, get 30 points tacked onto your total points at the end of the semester...nice. So, I asked my mom and dad to speak about their business experience and how the family business has gotten to where it is today. Mom and Dad, you did such a great job!!! Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy lives to hang out with me and Ryan for the weekend, and for speaking in my business class. Love you!

A Sweet Reunion

Elder Garcia, one of the missionaries that taught Ryan when he was taking the discussions, happened to be in Texas this past weekend. Much to our excitement, we were able to meet up with him for a short while! It had been so many years since we had seen him. We can't help but be grateful for the wonderful example that he and Elder Miles were to Ryan. It sure brought back memories to see him, and made me so grateful for the man Ryan is today.
